It is a form of legal protection offered by the United States to people who have been persecuted or have a credible fear of persecution in their home country because of their race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group.

FAMILY PETITION
For the United States, these are immigration processes that allow U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents (LPRs) to petition for certain family members to obtain permanent residence (a green card).

STATUS ADJUSTMENT
It is the process by which a person who is already physically present in the U.S. can apply to become a permanent resident (obtain a Green Card) without having to leave the country.

CITIZENSHIP - NATURALIZATION

PERMANENT RESIDENCE
This is the process we use to apply for legal permanent resident status when you are present in the United States. This means you can obtain a Green Card without having to return to your home country to complete the visa process.

TRAVEL PERMIT
If you are a TPS or DACA beneficiary, or need to leave the country for work or humanitarian reasons, you must apply to the U.S. government for an emergency travel document so you can leave and re-enter the country.

WORK PERMIT
Some non-citizens in the United States can apply for Employment Authorization to legally work in the country.

VISA U
It's an option available to people who have been victims of certain crimes in the United States and who have cooperated with authorities in the investigation or prosecution of those crimes. This visa allows them to remain in the country legally and obtain permanent residency in the future.

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS
After two years of obtaining conditional residency through marriage to a citizen or permanent resident, a green card holder must apply to remove the condition to convert their conditional permanent residency to unconditional permanent residency.
